Additional Programs for Adults

Adult Disabilities Training

Adult disabilities training for employment uses several levels of activities designed to give disabled adults options for employment and independent living.

Photo of young man working in the greenhouse at Reliable EnterprisesThis program trains developmentally disabled adults, in a group setting, for eventual employment in the community.

Clients work in our greenhouse operation, on our Janitorial crew, our Casino crew (repackaging playing cards for Casino Marketing), or our Road Crew (Contract litter collection for Lewis County) to learn how to accomplish the following:

  • Come to work on time
  • Dress appropriately for the job
  • Work a full day
  • Practice appropriate work and social behaviors
  • Adapt to a changing environment
Each individual has input into what type of job they would like, and we evaluate the skills needed for that job and match accordingly.

Individually Supported Employment

This program is all about employment in the community. Ideally every person in the group program will eventually move through this program, into community employment, and out of our program into a more independent life and contributing member of the community. We have job developers to help find work for each person within their desired field, and job coaches to work with the clients and employers on the job to make sure that candidates are thoroughly trained for their new jobs.

We also provide ongoing support as needed for both clients and employers. This training and support is provided at no cost to employers.

Student Transition Services

Reliable Enterprises offers individually based services for developmentally disabled high school students who are between the ages of 18 and 21. These services work in conjunction with our Individually Supported Employment program and concentrate on training techniques and attitudes that are age appropriate, and that help the student obtain and keep employment in a competitive work environment. We have a reputation for supporting inclusion in all areas of the community.

These services include the following:

  • Assist in the job selection process by listening to the student's interests and recognizing the student's skills.
  • Participate in the student's Person Centered Plan.
  • Offer training at the employment site.
  • Work with employers/coworkers in providing a natural and supportive environment.
  • Provide additional assistance, advocacy, and education for continued employment success of the student.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardian and important others.
  • Provide services in a timely manner.
  • Offer a tracking system in the five main service areas: assessment, job development, placement, on-the-job training and follow-up.

Reliable Enterprises Representative Payee Program

Reliable Enterprises works for the Social Security Administration by helping assigned social security recipients to manage their monthly checks. We pay bills, budget spending money and help them save to meet their goals.

Recreation Program

The Reliable Enterprises Recreation Program provides opportunity for developmentally disadvantaged people to socialize with friends in a community setting. Bowling and organized dances are a few of the offerings available for all to participate.
